Introduction
Call for Adult Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship application
St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, Department of Internal Medicine, is pleased to announce its interest in accepting a second cohort of fellows for the Adult Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship program for the 2025/2026 academic year. This subspecialty program features an international attachment to a renowned global center, along with comprehensive mentorship and training by both local and international experts in the field.
Requirements
The candidate should fulfill the following requirements
1. The candidate should have a specialty certificate in internal medicine, clinical oncology or hematology from a recognized university
2. The candidate must be a registered internist, clinical oncologist or hematologist, and licensed by the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia on his/her respective specialty certificate. If the specialty certificate is obtained from abroad, it should be licensed as by the FMOH Ethiopia
3. The candidate must complete and pass the screening process for admission to be undertaken by the department of internal medicine including:
3.1. Document review (750 word sized letter of intent indicating reasons for joining the program, professional career goals, and how the fellowship will help attain those goals; updated CV, two letters of professional recommendations preferably sent directly via emails from the recommending person to the emails listed below (one recommendation from the institute where the candidate is currently working, and one from former mentors during the residency training), support letter of sponsoring institutions
3.2. Entrance examination (both written and interview)
4. Candidates must be from areas/regions assumed to have inadequate adult hemato-oncologic services
5. Applicants must be in acceptable physical and mental health without any serious health conditions that would limit the ability to cope with the requirements of the fellowship training program and service as mentioned on the college legislation
6. Applicants should not have any active criminal records that led to prosecution and should not be in violation of any code of medical ethics as declared by the applicant
7. Applicant should have pass mark for National Graduate Admission Test (NGAT)

Application deadlines:
• Registration: July 1-15,2025
• Written entrance exam: July 23,2025
• Candidates interview: July 24,2025
• Class begins: September 15, 2025
NB:
Based on the college’s admission capacity, the program will admit the highest-scoring candidates who achieve 70% or above and meet all academic and non-academic requirements.
After registration and an initial screening by the admission committee, eligible candidates will be invited for a written exam and interview. The results will be communicated via email.
