Pursuing a research degree or PhD is a transformative journey that opens doors to innovation, discovery, and academic excellence. At Deakin University, we are committed to supporting aspiring researchers through our prestigious scholarships: the Research Training Program Scholarship (RTP) and the Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship (DUPR). These scholarships are designed to empower domestic and international students to achieve their research ambitions.

Applications for the 2025 intake are now open, and this blog will guide you through everything you need to know about these opportunities, including eligibility, benefits, key dates, and how to apply.

About the Scholarships

The RTP scholarships are funded by the Australian Government, while the DUPR scholarships are funded by Deakin University. Both scholarships are available to domestic and international students, with only the top-ranked applicants being offered an RTP.
