Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Non-EU Citizenship and Residency: Applicants must be non-EU citizens residing abroad.
  2. Academic Qualification: A recognized undergraduate degree that qualifies for admission to a Master’s program in Italy. Specific requirements for each course are listed on the University’s International Course Catalogue.
  3. Pre-Enrollment via Universitaly: Candidates must submit a pre-enrollment application through the Universitaly portal and apply for a study visa at their local Italian Embassy/Consulate.

Application Process

Key Steps

  1. Online Application: Submit the application form on the UniCal Admission Portal by April 10, 2025 (23:59 Italian Time).
  2. Application Fee: Pay a non-refundable fee of €10.
  3. Income Declaration:
    • For students in need, declare a family income below:
      • €26,500 (independent applicants)
      • €41,500 (two-member household)
      • €54,000 (household of three or more).
    • For students not in need, declare income above these thresholds.
  4. Required Documents: Upload all necessary documents, including academic transcripts, proof of income (if applicable), and passport copy.

Post-Admission Requirements

  • Declaration of Value (DoV): After enrollment, submit a DoV or a CIMEA Statement of Comparability by February 28, 2026.
  • Legalized Documents: Provide authenticated translations of academic qualifications (if not in Italian/English).

Scholarships and Financial Support

For Students in Need

  • Coverage: Full tuition waiver, free accommodation, meal plan, and €3,600/year as pocket money.
  • Requirements:
    • Submit an ISEE Parificato (income certification) by October 31, 2025.
    • Earn 30 CFU (credits) by August 10, 2026, to renew the scholarship for the second year.
    • Failure to meet credit requirements may require repayment of funds.

For Top Students Not in Need

  • The first two ranked candidates in the “not in need” category receive the same benefits as above.
  • Must maintain academic performance (minimum 20 CFU by November 30, 2026).

Tuition Fees

  • Students in need: €18.75 enrollment fee.
  • Top two students not in need: €18.75 enrollment fee.
  • Fee-paying students: €1,000 enrollment fee.

Important Deadlines

  • Application Submission: April 10, 2025.
  • Enrollment Deadline: June 10, 2025 (conditional enrollment).
  • Final Enrollment Confirmation: Identify in person by October 31, 2025 (via passport verification).
  • Declaration of Value Submission: February 28, 2026.

  • Advance Payment: Scholarship recipients can request a 25% advance upon arrival.

How to apply for the admission call:

1. Register on Esse3 Portal (only for unregistered candidates) – >

2. Access Esse3 Portal

3. Go to the top-right Menu -> Registrar’s Office -> Admission test

4. Select the chosen degree course

5. You MUST select the competition: “CALL FOR EXTRA-EU STUDENTS…………”

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • The call deadline is April 10, 2025
  • You can apply ONLY for one Degree Course, if you want to change degree course you must first to
    cancel the previous application
  • If you have mistakenly canceled your application, please fill in the following form so we will restore
    your application: access the form
