Introduction
Bonga University is one of the Public Higher Education institutions in Ethiopia. It is established with its own legal personality by the proclamation No. 349/2015 of the Council of Ministers of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. It is found in the South-Western part of Ethiopia, in the Southwest Ethiopia Peoples Region. The university is being established over nearly 174 hectares of area with an extremely impressive natural landscape. Its main campus is located in Bonga town, the capital of the Kaffa zone. The town is located at about 460 km distance from the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. It is privileged to be situated along the major highway connecting the south western region with national capital and the central part of the country, which makes it occupy spatially more accessible position. Bonga University is committed to realizing its vision through concerted efforts of playing its share in contributing for local, national and global development through the effective implementation of its academic, research and community engagement programs.

- Applicants should have at least a CGPA of 3.00 for males and 2.75 for females for the first degree, and a CGPA of 3.35 for females and 3.50 for males for a master’s degree, with thesis results rated as “Very Good” or above, or a letter grade of B+ or above.
- The maximum age for master’s and PhD applicants should be 45 and 50 years, respectively.
- Assistant lecturer applicants should have at least a CGPA of 3.25 for males and 3.00 for females.
- The maximum age for assistant lecturer applicants should be 35 years.
- Applicants should attach their curriculum vitae, copies of degrees, and other relevant documents to their application letter.
- Salaries will be according to the policies of higher education institutions.
- Female candidates are encouraged to apply, and teaching experience in higher education is preferable.
- The applicant must bring original documents during the registration process.
- Vertical professional development (BA/BSc, MA/MSc, PhD) is required.
- Applicants with a first degree must be willing to pursue their second degree (specialization) only in the field chosen by the university.
- Selected candidates are required to submit an official release letter from their previous institution if they are employed.
- The examination date will be communicated via telephone or notice.
