Introduction
MSD is a non-profit, civic society organization founded in 1999 to combat the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Since then, MSD works to strengthen the socio-economic development of the wider community, and the nation at large. Working with partners and stakeholders, MSD advance the voice of citizens and community structures in service delivery, identifying priority needs, provide support and services to target groups with education, skills and promote opportunity to get along with assets. Aligned to its vision, mission and strategic objectives, MSD has been working in different development, emergency and humanitarian endeavors including HIV Prevention, care and support, Orphan and vulnerable children (OCV) care and support, Sexual and Reproductive health (SRH), Family Planning (FP), Gender Based Violence (GBV), migration, child protection and environmental protection. Through these technical area and services, it reached different hard to reach target groups including early married girls, GBV survivor, OVCs, refugees, PLHA, commercial sex workers and their clients, waitresses, long truck drivers, CSOs, CBOs and the community. At community level, the organization works with community members and community based social service providing institutions, schools, health facilities, government line offices, marginalized groups and professional associations.

1. Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse will deliver essential health services at the drop in center (DIC) including clinical care, counseling, referrals, and health education. They will maintain high standards of professionalism and create a welcoming environment for all clients.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1. Service Delivery
- Provide medical care, including first treatment for minor illnesses or injuries.
- Conduct health assessments and screenings for DIC clients.
- Counsel clients on reproductive health, mental health. HIV/AIDS prevention, and substance use.
- Dispense medications per scriptions and provide usage guidance.
- Administer vaccination wound care, and other nursing procedures.
- Create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment for all clients.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions on health, life skills, and preventive care.
2.2. Coordination and Referrals
- Identify clients requiring specialized care and make timely referrals.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local healthcare facilities.
- Follow up on referrals to ensure clients receive appropriate care.
2.3. Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate medical and service records.
- Prepare and submit regular activity reports.
- Manage inventory and ensure adequate supplies of medical and non-medical items.
- Collect and report data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
2.4. Safeguarding and Crisis Management
Respond effectively to health emergencies and crises.
Uphold safeguarding measures, especially for vulnerable populations.
Ensure confidentiality and ethical standards in handling client information.
2.5. Community Engagement
Conduct outreach to promote DIC services.
Foster relationships with community members, authorities, and partner organizations
2.6. Capacity Building
Participate in relevant training to enhance skills.
Share best practices and lessons learned with team members.

2.8. Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Officer from a recognized Institution
Must be a licensed/registered nurse with a valid practicing Certificate.
2.9. Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing practice preferably in community-based or public health settings
- Experience with key populations such as youth, women, or individuals living with HIV/AIDS is advantageous
- ART training and experience are added advantages.
2.10. Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in basic medical procedures and first aid.
- Strong interpersonal, counseling, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, and substance abuse issues.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in [local language] and English (both written and spoken).
