EOC-DICAC is a recognized & licensed non-profit charitable local NGO working for the benefit of vulnerable communities in Ethiopia to attain self-reliance by tackling the root causes of poverty, migration, climate change, conflict, public health illiteracy problems by promoting sustainable development programs. Since in 1972, EOC-DICAC has been engaged in development and humanitarian interventions all over the country. Therefore, EOC-DICAC would like to invite dynamic and creative applicant for the following vacant post.
Job Summary:
EOC-DICAC in coordination with EPI focal points from relevant government sector is seeking Immunization Coordinator (Regional Office Level) for the RISE project.
The Immunization Coordinator at the Regional/zonal level is responsible for coordinating and overseeing immunization activities across multiple project districts within the selected zones. This role focuses on implementing national immunization strategies, improving vaccination coverage specifically reaching unreachable communities, and ensuring effective collaboration with health authorities and community stakeholders.
Major duties and responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Lead immunization activities, ensuring alignment with national policies.
- Training and Capacity Building: in collaborating with the health offices, s/he will organize immunization related trainings for health workers, and community Volunteers
- Monitoring and Evaluation: carry out regular M & E tasks and track necessary data on immunization and prepare implementation regular reports and submit to stakeholders.
- Community Engagement: Promote vaccination awareness through collaboration with community leaders.
- Supply Chain Management: Support logistics and cold chain system.
- Collaboration: Work hand to hand with government health departments, NGOs, and other partner closely.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Report to: Head office coordinator (EOC-DICAC)

Salary and benefits: Negotiable.

Job requirements
Job Requirements
- BSc degree in Public Health, Nursing, or a related field; Desirable: a Master’s degree in public health.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in immunization programs or public health, preferably within an NGO context, with some experience in a supervisory or coordination role.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in data management and analysis.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with frequent travel to Woreda health offices, and community sites within the project woredas.
