Job description
The Nutrition expert reports to the Health Officer/MHNT Team Leader and is responsible for implementing MHNT services (Nutritional screening, management, vaccination, CVA, community mobilization and others).
Expected Results
- MHNT activities carried out as per plan
- Good quality services are offered to the patients of the MHNT
- Project activities integrated into government plans and implemented in close collaboration with all actors involved, including project partners.
In particular, it carries out the following tasks:
- Implement good quality services (OPD, vaccination, screening.) for the patients of the MHNT
- Support the implementation of Health education sessions
- Promptly identify cases in need of referral and support the logistic of immediate and effective referral; ensure follow up of clients referred to HFs
- Keep all drugs, equipment, documentations and Records properly filled and organized
- Build good collaboration with the colleagues
- Support the Health Officer in any additional activity may occurs

Job requirements
- Graduate in BSC Degree (or equivalent Specialist or Master’s Degree) in Public Health Nutrition, Public Health officer or Nursing,
- Any other relevant qualifications to the healthcare sector (public health area) will be considered added value
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English and knowledge of Amharic and South Omo languages are an added value.
- At least three years of professional experience
- Previous experience of cooperation projects in the healthcare sector in emergency contexts
- Good computer skills: Ms Windows, Ms Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and team work skills
- Aptitude for working in critical contexts for the safety factor and for problem solving
