Introduction

Haramaya University is one of the oldest universities in the country which was established in 1954. The university offers more than 78 undergraduate, 110 masters and 28 PhD programs in nine colleges, one institute and one Directorate. College of Health and Medical Sciences (CHMS) is among the largest academic units of the university. The College was established in September 1996 in Harar (Which is about 23 kms from the main campus). The College was attached to Hiwot Fana Hospital in October 2003 and both serve as a training ground for undergraduate and postgraduate medical Students. The CHMS is highly committed to rendering academic, research and community services since its establishment. The number of undergraduate graduates since the establishment of the programs:
