Position Overview:

DROGA PHARMA PLC is an import, distributor, and commission agent for pharmaceuticals and healthcare products in the territory of Ethiopia.

Our Company was established in April 2015 with two staff. Currently, we have a total of 400+ employees with different professional backgrounds and work experience. Droga Pharma PLC, as a business unit, is establishing a chain of pharmacies all over Ethiopia.

Droga Pharma PLC, having a strong local presence in the Ethiopian Pharmaceuticals market, has established a partnership with Bio Pharmaceuticals.

We are seeking a strong and vibrant medical representative to promote Bio pharmaceutical products in the Ethiopian market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and create new and innovative promotional inputs.
• Organize new product pre-launch and launch activities.
• Create and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL).
• Conduct market assessments for product trends and changes.
• Ensure product availability on tend of different stakeholders.
• Manage product flow.
• Collaborate with business development, operation department, and tender departments for the flow of the products.
• Coordinate and develop marketing, sales, and financial plans for product line.
• Prepare market plans for focused products to achieve financial objectives.
• Assess, evaluate, select and plan the type of promotional activities (CME, Grand round, annual conferences) to be conducted for product lines.
• Required travel up to 25%.
• Assess current market trends, and competitors through usage data and customer feedback from existing products.
• Arrange and use strategic market analysis to filter and improve strategic decisions about product portfolio.
• Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product.
• Prioritize product features and capabilities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Promotion, preferably in a reputable pharmaceutical company.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for order processing and tracking.
