Organization for Social Services Health and Development (OSSHD) previously known by Organization for Social Services for AIDS (OSSA) is the first and pioneer organization in the fight against HIV and AIDS in Ethiopia. It was established in 1990 by religious organizations, international agencies and cooperation of the national Ministry of Health. OSSHD aspires to see a healthy, productive and self-reliant society of Ethiopia in which every person enjoys the right to a life to dignity and freedom from poverty. To this effort, OSSHD is executing a huge diversity of programs to address the community’s need through three major thematic areas namely: Health, Social Services and Development Program in specific areas of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), HIV/AIDS, Maternal, Neonatal and Child health (MNCH). Prevention of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Harm Reduction and Social services for vulnerable populations.
Major Duties: –
- Prepares woreda work plans for effective execution of the project activities as per the guidance from zonal coordinator
- Provide technical support to woreda Health office, health centers and other stakeholders and mobilizes related stakeholders and beneficiary communities as per the project activities and agreement signed with the government and donor to fulfill the objective of the project.
- Make sure that all the planned vaccine session is completed as planned and reach the target
- Provide, facilitate and coordinate different workshops, trainings and other platforms under the project catchment
- Takes full responsibility of financial management of the specific project activities that you will be assigned
- Prepares and submits field visit reports, monthly and quarterly project review reports, technical progress reports, commcare data and financial reports to Branch office.
- Maintains coordination and linkage with various stakeholders at woreda level
- Represent OSSHD at different levels of meetings, workshops, for as and when necessary
- Performs other related activities as assigned and required
Skills: –
- Strong leadership skill
- Good knowledge, experience and understanding of the current extended program of immunization (EPI) of the country
- High levels of skills in project planning and management, demonstrated skills in prioritizing task and meeting deadlines
- Strong communication, analytical and report writing skills with fluency in spoken and written English and local Language
- Knowledge and skills in basic computing, demonstrated inter-personal skills in working with a multi-disciplinary team
- Willingness and enthusiasm for working with rural and vulnerable communities living in remote areas of the country
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and action
Number of vacant Position: Twenty-Two (22)
Duty Station : Wagimira Zone at selected woredas Ofla, Zata, Aberelle, Tsagbigi (4), North wollo zone at selected wordeas Gubalafto, Habru, Gidan, Raya Kobo (4) and North Gondor Zone at selected woredas (4) (Telemit, East Telemit, West Telemit, Adear kay).
Oromia Region: – East Harerge Zone (Meta, Chinakson, Goro Gutu and Kersa) (4) West Wollega Zone (begi, Boji Chekorsa, Mena Sibu, Sayo nole woreda) (4) East Wollega Zone (Ebantu, Limu Woreda (2)
Salary : Negotiable
Contract Period : One year with possibility of extension based on availability of budget & performance.

Job requirements
Qualification and Experience:
- BA/MA/MPH/MSc/PHD in Public Health, Nursing or related fields of study,
- A minimum of 8/6/4years of relevant work experience.
