Introduction
The JU-EngenderHealth project is seeking to recruit 10 data collectors for a 10-day data collection effort, including travel days. The data collection will take place in various settings such as households, health facilities (including health centers and hospitals), and schools within selected WorHO in the Jimma and Borena zones. Data collectors will gather information from a range of sources, including households, facilities, program coordinators, school directors, HEWs (Health Extension Workers), and Kebele administrators. The data collection methods will encompass both qualitative and quantitative approaches, utilizing key informant interviews (KII), observations, and document reviews.
The candidate for the project data collector position should hold a BSc degree or higher in health sciences and possess practical experience in health information systems, health data management, or coordination of related activities. Additionally, candidates should have prior experience in data collection in similar settings and be proficient in using ODK for data collection. The ability to travel to assigned areas is essential. Fluency in English, Afan Oromo, and Amharic is required, along with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team spirit. Experience working within the Ethiopian health system is considered an advantage. Recruitment Criteria/Guide
- BSc and above degree holder in the area of health sciences and practical experience in health information system, working in health data or coordination such activities
- Has previous experience in data collection in similar settings.
- Has experience in ODK data collection
- Able to travel to assigned area
- Fluency in English, Afan Oromo and Amharic Excellent interpersonal skills and good team spirit
- Experience working in Ethiopian Health system is a plus
