About ASDEPO:
Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is an Ethiopian indigenous, “Civil Society Organization” established in 2014. ASDEPO is mandated to operate in all regional states of the country and is engaged indifferent thematic program areas of intervention namely: Humanitarian Response, Education, Health/HIV and AIDS/RH, Women and Youth Economic Empowerment, Gender Based Violence and Child Protection, Migration/Human Trafficking, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (Wash), NTD’s Climate Change, Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Training in Gambella, Oromiya, Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz, Afar, SNNPR and Somali Region.
ROLE PURPOSE:
The position holder shall be in charge of technical quality implementation and delivery of the mobile health and nutrition services in the assigned Woreda. S/He will mainly be responsible for the daily implementation of the screening, OTP, consultation, outreach EPI, health education, sanitation, safe motherhood and child health.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
– Coordinate and facilitate implementation of mobile health and Nutrition activities, site selection and prepare weekly movement plan.
– Provide basic health and nutrition services including community IMNCI/ICCM, safe motherhood, emergency services, referral, health education, EPI as per MOH Mobile health and nutrition guideline
– Facilitate essential drugs, supplies and therapeutic products for the team and the selected health facilities
– Organize daily, weekly and monthly overviews and reports of OTP, EPI, health education and consultations.
– Ensure referral system and linkage between services and with the health facilities
– Adherence to medical and nutritional treatment protocols and procedures for children and infants.
– Provide onsite training to HEW and nurses.
– Ensure Job aids are available in Health posts (HEW quick reference, Lookup table, report format, tally sheet, Plump nut and drug stock control balance form)
– Mentoring and assisting HEW in the decision of patients who are at severe risk and need to be transferred to nearby hospital
– Participate in capacity-building training, health education sessions and ENA/BCC application
– Follow up absentees/defaulters and keep current records of both beneficiaries and the staff (CHAs, volunteers).
– Work on any tasks assigned by the line manager and the organization.

Job requirements
Qualifications And Experience
Minimum of Bachelor in Clinical Nursing or Public Health.
Minimum three years of working experience of which two years in maternal, child health and nutrition service an HC/Hospital setting.
Working in the CMAM program and/or mobile health and Nutrition and experience for NGOs is an advantage.
Experience in clinical setups is mandatory, particularly in Maternal and child health areas
Skills/Ability required:
– Knowledge, training and experience in the management of CMAM, SAM management and IMNCI/ICCM.
– Solid technical skills on case management of childhood and adult illness, safe motherhood
– Demonstrated skills in program planning, implementation and monitoring.
– Strong computer (Microsoft skills), and interpersonal skills.
– Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
– Good command of written and spoken English and Local language.
– Good human relations skills.
– Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours
