About Nexus Ethiopia
Nexus Ethiopia is a national non-governmental and non-profit making humanitarian organization established and registered as per the new CSO’s proclamation 1113/19. Nexus Ethiopia is mandated to operate in all regions and City Administration in Ethiopia. To meet its objectives Nexus Ethiopia calls for competent professionals to apply for the MHNT Health Officer position
Roles Responsibilities
- She/he is also responsible for ensuring adherence to the implementation of program activities according to nationally accepted standards guidelines.
- Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and prevention.
- Participate to the roster to carry out outpatient consultations, prescribing the necessary treatment respecting national protocols:
- Guides the nurses of the project
- Support ANC and PNC
- Lead and support the community mobilization
- Support and lead the immunization
- Support the woreda efforts on disease surveillance and outbreak response
- Ensure that every patient is examined in outreach/MHNT sites and follow-up patients
- Build the capacity of local health workers through coaching and mentorship
- Ensure that in the validation process for referral to other facilities and prepare the referral letter and documentation accordingly.
- Works in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and supports ongoing training, in coordination with the Mobile Health and nutrition team Coordinator.
- Ensures professional confidentiality is respected.
- Performs any other duties as required by the Health program coordinator or Health and nutrition team coordinator.

Job Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
- BSC or MPH Degree in Public Health with 7 years for BSC 5 Year for MSC working.
- Full registration and practice license with Health officer
- 7 years’ minimum experience as a Health officer or in clinical work, experience in obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, adult and under five children both OPD and inpatient is desirable.
- MHNT work experience is mandatory
