The Opportunity
The position holder is primarily responsible to coordinate and implement the Nutrition component as well as humanitarian component of the integrated WASH, Nutrition project in two project districts of Tigray regional state and to insure the linkage to the Country RMNCH, WASH and Nutrition Program at the project level. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of results in line with pre-agreed project plans and objectives and oversees Project implementation at all stages throughout the project cycle. Given that a significant amount of the project thematic activities is done in partnership with key government sector offices, s/he will have also a key aspect of the role is nurturing, developing and facilitating the achievement of results.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)
- Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
- Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
- Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
- Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted.
Job Requirements
- Education in BSc degree in Nutrition, Public Health and other related fields
- Experiance equired with a minimum of 7 years working experience preferably in NGO setting.
- Equipped with sufficient level of awareness on: Early warning concepts; Disaster risk management practice and knowhow on; Health/Nutrition; food security framework; good understanding of national government policies.
- Hands on experience on Health and Nutrition Projects Management and Demonstrated leadership skills including in influencing and advocacy
Languages required
- Fluency in English language is essential
- Knowledge of local language is desirable
