DISTINCT FUTURE OF CVDA
Common Vision for Development Association (CVDA) is an indigenous, non-governmental, non-for-profit, humanitarian aid association. It was established on October 28, 2005 by a group of dedicated persons from diverse social, economic, professional and religious backgrounds.
CVDA has been re-registered and licensed by the Ethiopian Ministry of Justice, Charities and Societies Agency, on November 30, 2009 as an Ethiopian Residents charity in accordance with the Charities and Societies proclamation No. 621/2009 with registration No. 0588. It has permission to work at the national level however so far operates marginal parts of Benshangule Gumuz Region, SNNPR (Hawassa, Yirgalem, Dilla, Yergachefe, Aletawondo, Wondo Genet, Chuko, Bule, Goreche and Gumer ), Oromia Region,West Showa Zone(Muger), Borena Zone (Hageremaireyam, Yabello & Moyale), Guji Zone( Adola, Shakiso & Borena Negele), West Arsi Zone (Shashemene, Arsi Negele, Adaba, Nensebo, Kokosa, Shala, Siraro, and Kore woredas) Afar Region; Zone 5; Delifage, Dewe, Telalek, Hadele Ele and Sumu Robi Zone 3 ; Gewane and Gelalo and City Government of Addis Ababa
It is member of Consortium of Reproductive Health Association (CORHA), Union of Ethiopian Women Charitable Association (UEWCA), Ethiopian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative/EEITI/, Ethiopia Civil Society Coalition for Scaling up Nutrition/ECSC-SUN/ and Afar Region Health Partner Forum.

CVDA’s mission is to enhance socioeconomic development in health, education, agriculture, environment, livelihood, and WaSH, humanitarian responses, community-based peace-building, and good governance through holistic approaches and working with the community to contribute towards sustainable development and an improved standard of living in Ethiopia.
Goal
CVDA’s goal is to contribute to poverty alleviation through community-based approaches by implementing programs for development, good governance, and humanitarian responses in different regions of the country.

Key ACCOMPLISHMENTS
CVDA has successfully implemented different food security, environmental conservation, income generating and HIV/AIDS project in collaboration with different stakeholders. On environment conservation activity; highly degraded land rehabilitated through soil and water conservation measure, area enclosure, vetiver grass and indigenous tree plantation, gabion established, stone and soil bund established, conservation agriculture introduced, biogas technology introduced and established, fuel wood saving stove established at HH level, spring water developed, washing stand, shower established.
Food security and Income of target group improved through beekeeping, poultry farm, fruit tree plantation/ apple, mango and orange plantation/, vegetable garden, false banana plantation, vetiver grass bank. Other group established group and individual business such as hair dressing, tea room, sugar and edible oil distribution, dairy farm, stone production, shower room and etc. On HIV prevention, care and support program target group and large community awareness raised on HIV prevention and living with HIV, counseling service, economic strengthen and improving balance diet intake, engaging in income generating activities, access for clinical service through referral linkage.

Description of the Vacancy
1. Description of the Vacancy
Common Vision for Development Association (CVDA) is partner with International Rescue Committee (IRC) to implement Reaching Every Child in Humanitarian Settings (REACH) With Immunization up until March 31, 2024 at Two Zones of BGRS (Metekel and Kamash) and Oromia regional state(West Guji Zone).
- Implementation under this Activity for project implementation is guided by Specific Objectives (SOs), including:
- Describe systematically missed and Zero – Dose children (ZDC) at conflict affected and fragile areas of BGRS.
- Identify Barriers and enablers to immunization access including gender related constraints and opportunities.
- Sustaining access to immunization by negotiating humanitarian access to deliver integrated primary health services.
- Ensure an equitable increase in routine immunization coverage through the delivery of integrated health services
- Mitigating demand creation barriers with community gatekeepers, health system actors, and local authorities/government.
- Maintain program evaluation and improve knowledge and practice of health workers on immunization service provision.
Duration of employment: from date of employment up to march 31, 2024 with high possibility of extension based on performance and availability of fund.

Position Description
The M&E coordinator will provide direction, support, advice, and oversight on GAVI REACH Project monitoring, evaluation, and learning efforts and activities. This role entails implementing and updating the project’s Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plan to track progress of activities. Other responsibilities include coordinating with government signatories and local authorities for regular data collection to update the M&E Tracking Table, ensuring timely reporting and information sharing, and identifying and facilitating learning opportunities with stakeholders. This position will report to M&E Manager and will be working closely with the regional Project coordinator and Zonal coordinator.
Main duty and Responsibility
M&E Coordinator will have the following duty and responsibility but not limited to listed below:
- Collaborate with local authorities and project staff to track progress on improvements in their capacity and performance through selected indicators and contribute according the indicator framework for the GAVI REACH Project.
- Oversee monthly data collection and conduct regular data verification checks.
- Conduct capacity strengthening in M&E functions with project staff including refresher training sessions and coaching in collaboration with the M&E Manager.
- Coordinate with program team/ M&E Manager to conduct data quality assessments for a sample of performance indicators and results reported to International Rescue Committee (IRC).
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/Semi-annual and annual monitoring reports and synthesize data at program level.
- Support the team in monitoring and evaluating progress in respective regions and Zones as well as coherence with the overall strategic priorities.
- Organize and facilitate periodic project progress review meetings in collaboration with other GAVI REACH Project staff.
- Cascade M&E activities to address learning questions from the GAVI REACH Project implementations.
- Identify and triangulate M&E findings, lessons learned and recommendations and avail results for decision-making processes.
- Facilitate dissemination of lessons learnt from each implementation site and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate information exchange and sharing among regions through occasional learning events.
- Manage project implementation activities in consultation with M&E Manager and other CVDA staffs.
- Timely request budget for M&E activities and tool development.
- Ensure timely reports submitted to CVDA head office, Government signatories and donor.

Required qualification and experience
- Applicant need to have MSC degree in Health-related field or social science and minimum 7 years’ experience in related activity.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with monitoring and evaluating programs, including designing and using M&E plans, theories of change, logic models, and other M&E frameworks.
- Strong experience working with civil society organizations (e.g., NGOs, CBOs, FBOs, etc.) preferred.
- Strong skills in collecting, analyzing, interpreting qualitative and quantitative data to demonstrate linkages with project outcomes.
- Experience in developing success stories and case studies to present lessons learnt and showcase project achievements.
- Proven capacity to build the M&E skills of staff and/or partners.
- Attention to detail, ability to effectively perform multiple tasks, and balance competing priorities.
- Strong capacity on facilitation, analytical, strategic thinking, and planning skills.
- Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent report writing and communications skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English preferred.
- Experience in Immunization activities will be advantageous
