1. Position: IYCF Officer
.

Job Description

Contract Duration: Until August 15, 2024

- Responsible to support Districts and PHCU in collaboration with OTP/SC officers in planning and conducting nutrition screening activities, Ensuring existence of functional referral pathways and linkages between communities and HF and vice versa on TFP/SFP beneficiaries.
- Support and assist Woreda Health Offices and PHCUs in the piloting of Family MUAC approach.
- Implement and Provide technical support for TFP on (IDPs), and mobilization of community, and nutritional screening for both host & IDPs
- Conduct regular supportive supervision and provide technical support on stabilization Center and Outpatient Therapeutic Program sites every week;
- Ensure linkage of OTP/SC discharges, to distribution of protection and TSF ration (If applicable), in order to prevent further deterioration.
- Print, laminate and Provide the necessary OTP/SC guide lines and protocols for running OTP/SC, photocopy for other related activities;
- Integrate the TFP activities with IYCF Activities, including health facilities with due emphasis on enhancing the availability and integration of IYCF counselling services.
- Ensure Job aids are available in Health posts (HEW quick reference, Look up table, report format, tally sheet, Plump nut and drug stock control balance form)
Job Requirements
- BSc degree in Public Health/ Clinical Nursing/Nutrition and related health field of study preferred from accredited universities or health colleges
- Minimum three years working experience with NGOs in CMAM program;
- Knowledge, training and experience in management of MAM and SAM with/without medical complication
- Demonstrated skills in IYCF-E with CMAM program planning, implementation and monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good human relation skills. Willingness to work under pressure and extra hours Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions;

- Conduct & undertake consultation & proper treatment for acute and life-threatening illnesses based on the protocol of MHNT
- Prepare terms of reference (TOR), organize and facilitate training, review meeting and draw best lessons/practice
- Conduct & undertake PHC like consultation & provide proper treatment based on the protocol.
- Ensure all referral cases will be timely transferred to the nearest health facility
- Conduct planning and promotion of awareness creation preventative and promotive health care services at community level

- Support woreda/facility level Routine immunization, vaccination campaigns including vitamin A supplementation and support community level public communication campaign to raise awareness on COVID-19 and other epidemics prone diseases.
- Coordinate with the team member in operational matters (e.g. Supplies, Fuel, Stationery, etc.) and liaise with local authorities, represent the team in meetings and be responsible with all communications of the team
- Ensure that all medicine, medical supplies and equipment needed for the activities are available before departure

4. Position: Gender Based Violence(GBV) Case Worker

- Case workers will provide case management services to survivors, including referrals to existing services within the Women and Girls Safe Spaces. They will provide professional and confidential services to survivors of GBV helping them to access multi sectorial services available in their coverage area. Their work will be grounded in the survivor centered approach.

- Compiling and analyzing data, and related information on overall IDP, returnees and humanitarian crisis in the target area, with a specific focus on child protection/GBV, and prepare written inputs accordingly to inform effective program planning, development and management.
- Undertakes regular protection service delivery for vulnerable women, girls and children to recover from the traumatized experiences caused by conflict and forced displacement.
- Collect information; identify problems and constraints in order to ensure effective project delivery.
- Participate in meetings with relevant coordination forums, local authorities, other actors and donors to discuss and represent WVE’s work
- Facilitate training for various community groups on relevant topics of child protection and gender-based violence sector in partnership with civil society and government actors
- Monitor, analyses and evaluate project results to ensure achievement of objectives and take corrective action when necessary.
- Ensure application of standards, guidelines and good practices for children and women protection in emergency related activities
Job Requirements
