Job Description
Responsibilities
Hospital midwife:
Assist the hospitals’ maternal department in the management of the RMNCH services
Organize training courses on maternal, new and childcare planned by the project in collaboration with the hospital management team
Assess the training needs of the staff working in the maternity and delivery wards and organize mentoring and on-the-job training activities
Support the data collection – reporting – analysis
Ensure the management of the maternity waiting house in the hospitals
Prepare monthly and quarterly project activity plans and reports
Support the Project Manager in the implementation of hospital project activities
Midwife for the peripheral health facilities:
Assist the targeted Health Centers in the management of health care services in collaboration with the Woreda Health Bureau.
Participate in the supervision activities at health centers and health posts
Support the data collection – reporting – analysis
Support the implementation of the District Health Information System (DHIS2) at the peripheral level
Organize training courses on maternal, new and childcare planned by the project in
Collaboration with the Regional Health Bureau, Woreda Health Bureau and Health Centre management team
Support the training needs assessment of midwives working in the health centers and organize on-the-job training activities
Support the HEWs in awareness activities at a community level
Ensure management of the maternity waiting house in the health centers
Prepare monthly and quarterly project activity plans and reports.
Support the Project Manager in the implementation of peripheral health facilities activities

Minimum Requirements
BSc degree in Midwifery
More than 5 years of relevant work experience at a hospital and/or health center
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Additional Skill Required
Strong experience in training and mentoring of Health Professional
Firm experience in monitoring and supervision of MNCH Services
Previous experience in MNCH activities at the Community level
Previous work experience with INGOs and
Proficiency in the use of computers (Windows, Microsoft Office package) and technical report-writing skills
