Job description
Injury Prevention Initiative for Africa
Injury Prevention Initiative for Africa is a non-governmental organization established and registered on April 21, 2021, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. IPIFA has been functioning in more than 10 African Countries since 1998 before its registration in Ethiopia. It focuses on injury surveillance and researches the best ways to prevent injuries at different levels. Moreover, IPIFA provides basic life support training both for medical and nonmedical professionals. One of its flagship projects is Basic Life Support training for school teachers and students. Our organization is seeking volunteers who can work together for 12 months with the possibility of an extension.
Job Summary:
1. Liaise with partner organizations- Follow up with already existing activities
2. Manage the social media accounts of the organization and create content in a regular fashion
3. Actively engage in already existing research activities and initiate new research activities related to injuries
4. Coordinate the upcoming Bethune Round Table 2024 international meeting which will be held in Ethiopia
5. Coordinate training that the organization undertakes
6. Organize meetings and write up reports of regular activities

Job requirements
Who can apply:
1. Medical doctors within 2 years of completion of medical school
2. Willing to dedicate 16 hours of work per week
3. Previous experience working as an intern in NGOs or organizing a conference
4. Who is interested in advocacy activities
5. Excellent computer skills- MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentation, organizing virtual meetings, and managing documents
