Job Description
- Assist the hospitals maternal department in the management of the RMNCH services
- Organize training courses on maternal, new-born and child care planned by the project in collaboration with the hospitals management team
- Assess the training needs of the staff working in the maternity and delivery wards and organize mentoring and on-the-job training activities
- Support the data collection – reporting – analysis
- Ensure the management of the maternity waiting house in the hospitals
- Prepare monthly and quarterly project activity plan and reports
- Support the Project Manager in the implementation of hospital project activities
- Assist the targeted Health Centres in the management of health care services in collaboration with the Woreda health bureau.
- Participate in the supervision activities to health centres and health posts
- Support the data collection – reporting – analysis
- Support the implementation of the District Health Information System (DHIS2) at peripheral level
- Organize training courses on maternal, new-born and child care planned by the project in
- collaboration with the Regional Health Bureau, Woreda health Bureau and Health Centres management team
- Support the training needs assessment of midwives working in the health centres and organize on-the-job training activities
- Support the HEWs in awareness activities at community level
- Ensure management of the maternity waiting house in the health centres
- Prepare monthly and quarterly project activity plan and reports.
- Support the Project Manager in the implementation of peripheral health facilities activities

Job Requirements
- BSc degree in Midwifery
- More than 5 years’ relevant work experience at hospital and/or health centre
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong experience in training and mentoring of Health Professional
- Firm experience in monitoring and supervision of MNCH Services
- Previous experience in MNCH activities at community Level
- Previous work experience with INGOs and
- Proficiency in the use of computers (Windows, Microsoft Office package) and technical report writing skill
