Objective of the Assignment
To provide clinical/technical support on implementation and delivery of the health and Nutrition services in the assigned Woreda
Job Summary –
She/he will mainly be responsible for the day to day provision of basic lifesaving health and Nutrition services in accordance to the context, national protocols, procedures and standards. In addition, s/he will be responsible for management of referral for patients with conditions falling beyond his competencies and/or the competencies working closely with doctors and other MHN team members
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Conduct nutrition screening for under 5 children, pregnant and lactating women (outreach or static) and ensure 100% coverage with expected quality and link to nutrition services (OTP/SC,TSFP))
• Treat under 5 children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) at OTP and SC (when possible) according to the National protocol.
• Implement diagnosis, prescription, and prevention procedures.
– Perform clinical management of cases, promotion, and prevention activities
– Management of referral for patients with conditions
– Follow up the evaluation of the IDP patients, through daily visits, consultations. and examinations, prescribing the necessary treatment following national protocols and guidelines, deciding whether they can be treated at PHC level or referred to nearby health facility
– Record in individual patient’s card and registration books all medical activities (drugs prescribed, lab results, vaccination status, epidemiological activity, doses, etc.) Performed keeping data traceability to ensure patients treatment continuity.
– Participate in data collection and reporting/ surveillance activities when required
– Perform other essential health service and nutrition activities.
– Act as team leader for the MHNT, lead the team. compile the report and share to woreda and UNICEF Oromia FO.

Job requirements
– BSC Degree in Public Health/Health officer with valid Registration COC.
– Minimum of two years’ work experience
– Capacity to manage cases children with SAM (Have basic training on new AM Guideline)
– Good ability of written and spoken English and Afaan Oromo

JOB SUMMARY
– She will mainly be responsible for the day to day implementation of the health and nutrition services by giving emphasis to health promotion on essential maternal and child health services.
– She will be responsible for maternal and child health services including family planning, antenatal, delivery, postnatal, Essential Newborn Care, Iron supplementation, vaccination, identification of high-risk mothers and facilitation of referral, counseling on exclusive breast feeding and promotion of Maternal and Infant and Young child Nutrition (MIYCN)
Main duties and responsibilities:
– Provide ANC, delivery, PNC and ENC services.
– Provide iron supplementation, TT vaccine, FP counselling and contraceptives
– Strengthening referral mechanism to all obstetrics complications and other maternal and child health illnesses.
– Ensure all referral cases are properly transported to the nearest health facility.
– Manage sick children according to IMNCI and ICCM guideline.
– Strengthening of linkages and coordination mechanisms between community platform and Woreda health offices.
– Provide on job training and support for health workers, HEWs and community health structures on how to provide quality maternal and child health services.
– Conduct planning and promotion of awareness creation on nutrition and preventative health care issues in the community.
– S/he will also be responsible for day to day documentation of all provided services accordingly and compile weekly and monthly reports and share with MHNT coordinator and respective Woreda health offices.
– She/he will be responsible for the daily implementation of outreach Health and Nutrition services package

Objective of the Assignment

Job Summary
– She/he will mainly be responsible for the day to day implementation of supply selection, quantification and requestion as per mobile health and Nutrition guideline.
– In addition, the position holder is also expected to provide supervision, technical assistance and capacity building to health extension workers and Health workers working in health facilities.
– S/he will be responsible for the daily implementation of recording and reporting of supplies package in facility and outreach as per the standard.
– S/he will also be responsible for day to day proper inventory management of supplies as per the regional logistic management systems.
– Slhe will be responsible on time viability of supplies as per the demand of the MHNT guideline.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
– Work in collaboration with Woreda health facilities and provide clinical/technical support to local health workers for the delivery of emergency and primary health care services such to internally displaced people and/ people who have no access to the services.
– Participating in static and/or Mobile Health and Nutrition Team (MHNT) to provide essential lifesaving primary health care services to displaced people and people who have no access to health services.
– Plan and conduct basic pharmaceutical services at community and HF level.
– Strengthening linkages and coordination mechanisms between community and the Woreda health offices
– Train and support community-based volunteer health workers
– Ensure on time availability of essential supplies.

Job summary
The Nurse is responsible for basic health and Nutrition services are provided in local communities affected by inaccessibility and or conflict induced IDPs. Work in collaboration with Woreda health facilities and provide clinical/technical support to local health workers for the delivery of emergency and primary health care services. S/he is responsible to plan and conduct basic preventive health care services at community level with emphasis on immunization and nutrition services together with MHNT and also strengthening referrals, linkages and coordination mechanisms between community and the Woreda health offices.
Specific duties and responsibilities:
– Undertake nutrition screening for under 5 children, pregnant and lactating women and link to nutrition services (MAM/SAM)
– Treat under 5 children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) at OTP and SC (when possible) according to the National protocol.
– Provide TSF for MAM children and PLW where supplies are available
– Counsel care takers of children under five on IYCF, do the Growth Monitoring and promotion
– Provide deworming and vitamin A supplementation services to the eligible children
– Provide basic Maternal and child health services (EPI (outreach/static). ICCM, ANC, PNC, delivery) and FP and referral for patients with conditions falling beyond her/his competencies.
– In addition the position holder is also expected to provide supervision, technical assistance and capacity building to health extension workers and Health workers working in health facililies.
– S/he will also be responsible for day to day documentation and reporting of vaccinated children. screened children and mothers, children admitted to OTP, and all other provided services including health education and IYCF.
– S/he will be responsible for the daily implementation of health and Nutrition services package in facility and outreach as per the standard.
– Ensure availability of supplies Plumpy nut, Vitamin A, routine drugs, nutritional screening equipment, nutritional/medical stationeries, etc
– S/he will compile weekly and monthly reports and share with MHNT coordinator and Woreda health Offices
