Job Description:

LIYANA HEALTH CARE Plc. (LHC) is an integrated health care solutions company that provides high quality, advanced & a yet accessible and affordable specialized clinical services, import and distributes pharmaceuticals, teaching health fields, manufacturing medical detergents, cosmetics and chemicals in Addis Ababa and Hawassa cities.

Currently, LHC comprises 7 divisions /business lines:- Yanet Internal Medicine Specialized Center (YIMSC – A.A and Hwassa), Yanet Trauma and Surgical Specialized Center (YTSSC – Hawassa), Yanet Hospital (YH -Hawassa) ,Yanet Drugs and Medical Supplies Wholes Sale (YDMSWS – Hawassa), Yanet –  Liyana college of Health Sciences (YLCHSs – Hawassa), and  Hawassa),Yali medical detergents, cosmetics & chemicals manufacturing (A.A )

LIYANA HEALTH CARE PLC would like to recruit potential candidates for the position of        Quality, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (Quality & PMEO) to assign at Addis Ababa and Hawassa cities.

Position Summary:

 

LIYANA Health care Plc. striving to be globally recognized, leading and integrated healthcare solutions Provider Company in the Horn of Africa. In order to ensure highest-quality care marked by strong patient focus, heightened efficiency, consistent quality performance and foster a culture for improvement, we would like to recruit potential candidates for the position of Quality Officers to assign at different business division in Hawassa and Addis Ababa. In corporate quality and Strategy office system-wide initiative, the position is responsible for Business Division Manager and report to Corporate Quality &PME Office. The Quality and PME Officer will actively represent business division in all matters of quality, Plan, Monitoring and Evaluation activities.

 

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead Business division/Line  Quality and PME  activities
  • Ensure the integration of the quality management system requirements into the company’s business processes;
  • Provide technical support with respect to quality
  • Assist with the preparation of the Quality Management document preparation and Reviews
  • Ensure that training plans are implemented and training records are maintained.
  • Generation and reporting of relevant Quality metrics.
  • Ensure that the resources needed for the quality management system are available;
  • Oversee quality performance initiatives or collaborate with medical staff leaders to create quality improvement programs
  • Communicate the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the quality management system requirements;
  • Leads Planning, Monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Ensures the communication of PM&E concepts within the organization;

Internal Auditing

  • Monitoring and reporting Key Performance Indicators associated with Quality.
  • Carry-out and co-ordinate assigned internal audits and and Ensure audit action items are closed within agreed timeframe.
  • Assist with the preparation of management review
  • Assist with preparation for regulatory inspection responses.
  • Assist with facilitating inspections of the company by Third Parties.

Documentation Control

  • Update and review SOPs as required via QMS.
  • Ensure updated SOPs are reviewed and signed by all relevant departments.
  • Ensure the correct revision of SOPs is in circulation at all times.
  • Manage superseded and obsolete SOPs correctly.
  • Controlling and maintaining the document archive and sample retention system.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Develops/adapts, monitoring, and evaluation guideline to promote reflective practices;
  • Provides technical assistance to business divisions /business lines in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation;
  • Analyzes and compiles periodic reports of the organization, compares implementation with plan and give feedback;
  • Prepares annual plans and quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports and submit to the Corporate Quality and PME officer

Required: – 4 ( for Addis Ababa and  3 for Hawassa)

Job Requirements:

Qualification and Experience:
  • Medical doctor, BSc/BA degree in health science or other related fields and minimum of 2 years of experience in health care industry
  • Knowledge  and direct experience on quality  is advantageous

 

Skills and abilities
  • Highly motivated self-driven and “can-do-attitude”.
  • Strong organizational skills ,ability to work well both on their own initiative and team work
  • Ability to priorities work and systematic approach to tasks.
  • Enjoy and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing on working language required.
  • Certification in Quality Management Systems is preferred
