1. Position: Child Protection and GBV Prevention Officer
.
Job Description:
- Work Location: Debre Birhan, Jara (North Wollo)
Contract Duration: Until December 31,2022
Number of Employees Required: 2
- Compiling and analyzing data, and related information on overall IDP, returnees and humanitarian crisis in the target area, with a specific focus on child protection/GBV, and prepare written inputs accordingly to inform effective program planning development and management.
- Undertakes regular protection service delivery for vulnerable women, girls and children to recover from the traumatized experience caused by conflict and forced displacements.
- Collect information; identify problems and constraints in order to ensure effective project delivery. Participate in meetings with relevant coordination forums, local authorities, other actors and donors to discuss and represent WVE’s work.
- Facilitate training for various community groups on relevant topics of child protection and gender based violence sector in partnership with civil society and government actors.
- Monitor, analyze and evaluate project results to ensure achievement of project objectives and take corrective action when necessary.
- Ensure application of standards, guidelines and good practices for children and women protection in emergency related activities.
Job Requirements:
- University degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health and relevant field of social sciences.
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in Child Protection, Gender- Based Violence, and related areas, program/project, development and management in emergency context is required.
Proven experience in designing and implementing of child protection and GBV trainings to a variety of stakeholders.

2. Position: Health Officer

Job Description:

Contract Duration: Until February 28, 2023
Number of Employees Required: 1
- Provide outpatient consultation to crisis affected host communities, IDPs including for people with mental health needs at outreach locations in the targeted woredas
- Provide quality primary health care services through mobile health and Nutrition modality and provide capacity development to HEWs in recording and reporting, active case searching and sensitization, supply and cold chain management
- Support woreda/facility level Routine immunization, vaccination campaigns including vitamin A supplementation and support community level public communication campaign to raise awareness on COVID-19 and other epidemics prone diseases.
- Coordinate with the team member in operational matters (e.g. Supplies, Fuel, Stationery, etc.) and liaise with local authorities, represent the team in meetings and be responsible with all communications of the team
- Ensure that all medicine, medical supplies and equipment needed for the activities are available before departure

Job Requirements:
Previous work experience at least 2 years as a member of Mobile Health and Nutrition Team with NGOs.
Bachelor’s degree in public health/Nursing with minimum of two years relevant experience.
Additional certificate on Emergency Drug Kits, PHEM, MHPSS and IPC for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an asset.

3. Position: Midwife/Nurse
Job Description:
Work Location: Raya Kobo, Kobo, Gubalafto, Hara, Habru
Contract Duration: Until July 31, 2023
- Provide technical support and participate in carrying out all components of MNCH packages (ANC, PNC, FP, PMTCT, labor and delivery, EPI
- Provide essential lifesaving primary health care services to displaced people and people who have no access to health services.

- To conduct WASH assessment in Therapeutic Feeding sites in the targeted areas
- To demonstrate the use of WASH specific items which need special knowledge for operation and maintenance, especially when using chemical i.e. water purification tablets, water treatment equipment.
- To conduct participatory approach in promoting good water, sanitation and hygiene practices in TFP sites in the targeted areas
- Support the rehabilitation/upgrading/maintenance of WASH facilities in the therapeutic feeding centers
- Hygiene sensitization/awareness to help the IDP and host communities to mitigate health risks by promoting good hygiene practice in communities
- To document schedule plan, field report and update to ECHO project Manager Leader in timely manner

5. Position: Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support /MHPSS/ Officer

Job Description:

- Provide technical support on emotional resilience and participate in carrying out all components of MHSSP packages
- Ensure establishment of one stop center and clinical rape management for GBV survives (documentations of injuries, treatment of injuries, evaluation of sexually transmitted infections (STI) and preventive care
- Coordinate screening, identification counseling, treatment and referral linkage of women subjected to violence
- Ensure the establishment of women- centered health response for women who have subjected to violence (PSEA, SGBV)
- Ensure community engagement prevention discrimination subjected to violence and prevention of sexual exploitations and abuse

Job Requirements:
Education: Clinical nurse, Midwifery, Clinical psychologies with proven experience in supervising, coaching and mentoring others with minimum of two years relevant experience for degree holders and four years of experience for Diploma holders.
Additional certificate on, SGBV, GBV, MHPSS and clinical rape management is an asset.
Previous work experience at least 2 years as MHPSS, GBV with NGOs working in the area clinical rape management, emotional resilience’s for front line health workers , women center in emergency health response prevention of sexual exploitations.

6. Position: IYCF Officer
Job Description:
Location of Work: Raya Kobo, Kobo, Gubalafto, Hara, Habru
Contract Duration: Until July 31,2023
- Responsible to support Districts and PHCU in collaboration with OTP/SC officers in planning and conducting nutrition screening activities, Ensuring existence of functional referral pathways and linkages between communities and HF and vice versa on TFP/SFP beneficiaries.
- Support and assist Woreda Health Offices and PHCUs in the piloting of Family MUAC approach.
- Implement and Provide technical support for TFP on (IDPs), and mobilization of community, and nutritional screening for both host & IDPs
- Conduct regular supportive supervision and provide technical support on stabilization Center and Outpatient Therapeutic Program sites every week;
- Ensure linkage of OTP/SC discharges, to distribution of protection and TSF ration (If applicable), in order to prevent further deterioration.
- Print, laminate and Provide the necessary OTP/SC guide lines and protocols for running OTP/SC, photocopy for other related activities;
- Integrate the TFP activities with IYCF Activities, including health facilities with due emphasis on enhancing the availability and integration of IYCF counselling services.
- Ensure Job aids are available in Health posts (HEW quick reference, Look up table, report format, tally sheet, Plump nut and drug stock control balance form)
Job Requirements:
BSc degree in Public Health/ Clinical Nursing/Nutrition and related health field of study preferred from accredited universities or health colleges
Minimum three years of working experience with NGOs in CMAM program.

1. Acute malnutrition 2019 revised guideline training
2. Revised 2019 IMAM guideline, and IYCF-E training
3. Integrated Pharmaceuticals Logistics System (IPLS)
4. Trained on Family MUAC approach and TSFP/MAM
