Professional alliance for Development (PADet) is an Ethiopian civil organization which runs various developmental programs at community level in Ethiopia focusing on Reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, Child development, Women development and livelihood promotion programs, Promotion of social accountability that empowers vulnerable Women, children and youth in North Wollo Zone, South Wollo Zone, Awi Zone, South Gojjam Zone, South Gondar Zone- Amhara Region, North Showa Zone- Oromia Region, Oromia Special Woreda(Stlulta) and selected woredas in Afar region and in Addis Ababa in partnership with various International donors and NG0s, regional Government structures, National CSOs and the communities.
Currently, PADet would like to hire potential candidates for the position of community Mobilizer (CM).
Job title: Community Mobilizer, ASRH project
Job grade: IV
Location Field Office- Bahir Dar Zuria in Amhara Region
Report to: Project Coordinator

Accountabilities:
• Clearly aware of program’s implementation activities and execution of the program along with other SRH program staffs
• Conduct regular community mobilization and awareness creation activities by using community outreach agents
• Ensure transparent and participatory process in the selection of target based on selection criteria
• Facilitate champion of Change (COC), parental dialogue and peer to peer sessions and conduct regular follow up and support
• Establish school program mini media and ensure its functionality for the school community
• Establish girl’s clubs at target school and ensure participation of girls
• Together with PADet SRH program (SRH officer and program coordinator) ensure that the program is being implemented as planned and within budget
• Ensure Program activities arc implemented with-in the project period
• In collaboration with SRH officer follow and execute the community and school level program implementation
• In collaboration with SRH officer, perform weekly, monthly and quarterly report for the responsible stakeholders
• Strengthen school and community-facility referral system for adolescents and young women with sexual and reproductive health needs
• Maintain a regular communication with SRH officer, program management
• Report to the senior SRH officer in timely manner and as requested
.
II. Job Requirement
• University degree/diploma in Sociology, Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, or a related field
• Minimum of one year experience with an NGO and /or GOs SRH project
• Ability to cope with stress and hardship, patience and flexibility
• Ability to effectively work with community leaders, International/national organizations, partners and other PADet relationships
.
III. Required skills, Knowledge and Abilities
• Ability to cope with stress, hardship, patience and flexibility
• Ability to effectively work with government, community leaders, International/national organizations, donors, partners and other International Medical corps relationships
• Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationship with colleagues in course of work
• Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated experience and skills in ensuring community participation and mobilization in development work
