Future Hopes Integrated Development organization/FHIDO/ is an indigenous, non-governmental, non-profit, secular, legally registered Ethiopian resident charity working to building self-reliant and self-sufficient generation in Ethiopia through comprehensive and sustainable development approach. FHIDO implementing different development programs to change the wellbeing of deprived, excluded and vulnerable children and youths found in its operational areas and ensured the sustainable resilience to take part in the social, economic and political activities of their communities.
FHIDO is operational in Addis Ababa & Afar Region in four core programmatic areas namely, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Basic Education, Youth Development and OVC care and support project.
FHIDO is currently looking for competent, qualified and interested applicants for FHIDO, USAID Family-focused HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment Program implementing in partnership with Mekdim Ethiopia National Association (MENA) on the Monitoring, Evaluation Specialist position.
Number of positions: One
Term of employment: One-year contract with possible extension based on proven performance.
Job Requirements:
- Education: A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Monitoring & Evaluation related fields.
Experience: Five years and above of direct experience in the monitoring and evaluation of HIV projects. PEPFAR’s M&E experience is preferred.
Required Skill and knowledge:
- Excellent basic computer skills and demonstrated experience in using different database, particularly Comm Care.
- Significant experience in data and information management, analysis and excellent conceptual, presentation and communication skills with experience working with non-government organizations in Ethiopia.
- Experience in program quality management (both service and data quality) and operational research (OR) is required.
- Knowledge of M&E and data quality management related to health programs, preferably on HIV and AIDS programs is required.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in health programs to provide support and guidance to project staff on design, monitoring and evaluation is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in use of data for decision making is highly desirable.
- Well-established data analysis and report writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and positive professional attitude
- Excellent written and communication skills in English
- Team work and team building skills
