Job Description:

Overall Responsibility

Under the clinical supervision of pediatrician/specialist, clinical officer responsible to manage outpatient and inpatient clients by obligatory performs diagnosis, identifies health problems and delivers prescriptions/procedures to pediatrics clients in accordance with accepted standard medical practices and professional code of conduct at MSIE Centers

DUTIES/TASKS

  • Examines in and out patients /clients in line with standard medical procedures using various types of diagnostic mechanisms.
  • Administers and prescribes drugs based on analysis of examination, test reports and findings and counselling services.
  • Supervising NICU inpatient under leadership of pediatrician
  • Teach family members about disease and hands-on procedures;
  • Identify and manage sign of physical, sexual and mental abuse of child;
  • Identify and meet the emotional needs of family and significant others coping infant/child illness;
  • Coordinate patient care and performs and/or assists inpatient care procedures;
  • Implement specialist access and egress procedures;
  • Provides MCH and immunization services.
  • Disseminates health education / information.
  • Puts the interest of clients/patients above all other considerations and ensures the confidentiality of all cases.
  • Ensures the maintenance of a high-level standard.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support in center service promotion and demand creation by doing field visit to nearby referral points, participate in community conversation sessions
  • Distributing referral cards to visiting clients and motivating current client to refer other needy clients.
  • Actively participate in center business development related task assigned by supervisor

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualification Requirements

Education

BSs degree as Health Officer or BSc in nursing/pediatrics

Experiences

Minimum 2 years of experiences in provision of clinical Services, an experience             on pediatric service Provision is highly preferred
