Job Description:

Progress Integrated Community Development Organization (PICDO) is a local Civil Society Organization (CSO) would like to invite potential applicants for the following vacant posts under the New Project entitled “Promoting Family Planning (FP) and Maternal Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) service through Social Accountability Activities”  funded by The New Partnerships Initiative (NPI) Ethiopia, NPI EXPAND Project, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) funded project that supports missions with increasing the availability and utilization of quality health services in Sidama National Regional states.

Main duty and Responsibility

  • Coordinator (PC) in planning and budget forecasting – so that every team member understands the project activities and results indicators, and how to monitor these;
  • Provide technical and coaching support to all the Woreda Social Accountability Experts (WSAEs) in the project so that they develop M&E skills such as work planning for results, timely and regular data collection and mobile data uploading, and quarterly reporting;
  • Plan own activities in coordination with the PC and the GSIE, including joint monitoring and technical support trips as per needs of the WSAE;
  • Ensure timely and regular completion of M&E data forms by WSAEs s  and provide data generated to facilitate woreda level monitoring of the SA process;
  • Provide regular data verification at project sites
  • Ensure Program reports submitted to Donor and giver as per given standard
  • Provide support to woreda health office and zone health office in timely reporting CSC scoring
  • Develop a results framework with consensus driven milestone
  • Quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Conduct regular field visits

Duration of employment: one year contract with possible extension.

Report to: Project Coordinator

Duty station: Hawassa, Sidama Regional State

Job Requirements:

Required qualification and experience
  • BA/BSC degree in Health-related field or social science and minimum 3 years’ experience in M&E positions in similar Activity
  • Experience in SA or Community Score Card and USAID funded project will be advantageous
  • Applicant need to have good English language skill and good report writing skill
  • Female applicants are highly encouraged
