Job description
Organization Background:
Fayyaa Integrated Development Organization (FIDO) is an Ethiopian resident charity organization established in the year 2002 by Ethiopian volunteers. Since its establishment, the organization has been implementing various projects in Oromia, SNNP, and Somali regional states as well as in Addis Ababa City Administration. Currently FIDO is also implementing projects under the emergency and relief department.
Position Title: Nutrition Project Officer
Location: Sedal and Mizigan Woredas, Benishangul Gumuz region
Duration: 6 Months
Salary: Negotiable Employment

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support nutrition project activity planning for implantation together with the project partners and project team in consultations with Project Manager and Nutrition Advisor.
• Support implementation of nutrition and Gender capacity building / ToT and trainings in the project area in liaison with the Gender and Nutrition Advisor and Project Manager
• Day-to-day activities will include capacity building of health extension workers and mother to mother support groups with nutrition / IYCF-E/ consultation and maternal health / nutrition in particular
• Establish and facilitate training to beneficiary at community and health facilities / institutions
• Facilitate and assist the timely submission of regular reports (monthly, interim and final) or special reports as deemed necessary.
Requirements:
• Education: Degree in Health Science, community nutrition and dietetics or related fields
• At least 3 years’ experience in practice on nutrition and gender mainstreaming
• Experience working collaboratively in a team structure in a multicultural environment is desirable
• Experience working in hardship areas and emergency nutrition project added advantage
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written English
• Ability to maintain high standards of personal integrity; establishing straightforward, productive relationships; treating all individuals with fairness and respect, demonstrating sensitivity for ethnic, cultural and gender differences
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Email and utilization of the internet
