Job description
Amhara National Regional State in coordination with Global Fund want to compete and hire professionals in contract bases.
1. Responsibilities to undertake:
Under direct supervision of the FMOH/RHB, the TBL and TB/HIV program officer will be in charge of the following main duties and possibilities:-
I. Provide technical support in all aspects of TB, Leprosy and TB/HIV control to respective Regional Health Bureaus, to achieve the planned targets.
II. Coordinate and involve in Monitoring Evaluation activities of TB, Leprosy and TB/HIV activities in the assigned RHB.
III. Periodically report on Global Fund agreed indicators, the status of grant implementation and pending requirements and the way forward to Federal Ministry of Health.
IV. Follow and facilitate the verification of the biannual reports, annual PR surveys auditing expenditures and disbursements, independent assessments by the LFA, Auditing and evaluation firms respectively.
V. Participate in planning, monitoring and evaluation of TB, Leprosy and TB/HIV activities/meetings.
VI. Participate in the regional level TB, Leprosy and TB/ HIV program supportive Supervision and give written timely feedback to Regional Health Bureaus.
VII. Participate in the development national guidelines, strategic documents, annual plans and other different documents for the national program
VIII. Participate and contribute in the task of different regional level technical working groups, forums, meetings, workshops to strengthen the regjonal TB program
Job Requirements:

Educational back ground and work experiences:
BSc Degree in Health related fields and 10 Years of experience
OR
MD and 5 Years of Experience OR
MSc and 8 years
OR
MD+MPH and 2 years.
on TB/MDR-TB and leprosy program at various level
– Relevant experience on TB/MDR-TB and leprosy program at various level
– Experiences in implementing the internationally recommended Stop TB strategies at regional and national level
– Good level of Knowledge and insight of national TB program operations
– Relevant Knowledge and experience in capacity building on TB program (facilitation skill, training, supportive supervision, coaching)
– Having experience working as a member of the national TB Technical working groups is preferable
3. Skills Required:
– Excellent in supporting region, zone and woreda health offices and health facility staff regarding TB TBL and MDR-TB program
– Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff at national and regional level
– Computer literacy; Solid computer skills in MS-Office applications, including MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint, Internet and email systems required.
– Ability to use additional statistical packages for analysis an advantage e.g. SPSS, Epi-Info
4. Accountability
– Both Civil service and FMOH/RHB Human Resource Development rules and regulations will be applied to guide the day to day services of the adviser.
