Job Summary
POSITION TITLE: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
REPORTS TO: Executive Committee
SUPERVISES : Program Coordinator , Finance Admin head Other Staff
TYPE: One Year Contract
DURATION/ HOURS: 6 days a week (40 hours per week)
SALARY – Negotiable
LOCATION: EMeWA Head Office, Addis Ababa, Kirkos Sub city (Kazanchis) Woreda 08 Genet W/Yohannes Building . Next to Zemcn Bank . House No 1040 . Office No 405 (4th floor)

The Ethiopian Medical Women’s Association (EMeWA) is a legally registered organization under CSO license number 3809 that envisions a culture in which Ethiopian women and those in medicine enjoy equal rights and participation in reimagined power and decision making structure. POSITION ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Oversees the over all administration and day-to day operations of the Association including scrvices, financial resources Personnel and Property as per the policy set forth by the Executive Committee
– Develops and leads the execution of short and long term strategies and projects based on the vision and mission Of the association as authorized by the Executive Committee.
– Assess the needs of members of the association and allocate resources accordingly.
– Monitor and evaluate the activities of the program coordinator, the finance and admin head, ad other staff
– Identifies and builds alliances and partnerships with other Organizations
– Involves in the decision of hiring of new staff
– Executes and administers all contracts as authorized by the Executive Committee
– Ensure that Executive members and Chairs of Committees are informed of matters that warrant their attention.
– Assists the President in developing an agenda for Executive Committee Meetings and keeps regular record of minutes.
– Provide regular reports to the Executive Committee about activities Of the Organization Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
– Medical Degree or Master Degree in & Relevant Health Related Discipline
– Three (3)-Five (5) years” experience in leadership role or in senior management Position/ administrative roles in healthcare settings in Ethiopia. Preferably in professional associations
– Female Applicants are encouraged
