Since its inception in 1990, Akademie Schloss Solitude has supported over 1,400 young artists from over 120 countries as part of its international Artist-in-Residence Program. It generates a close-knit, worldwide, and transdisciplinary Solitude alumni network that grows year after year. The duration of the scholarship in Germany is usually 6 months, 9 months and 12 months.

Eligibility Criteria :
Here are the criteria for the Solitude fellowship program:
- Candidates must be under the age of 40 years.
- Candidates must have completed their bachelor’s or master’s degrees.
- Candidates enrolled in a Ph.D. program are eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have reading, writing, and listening proficiency in any three languages (English/French/ German).
- Candidates should be able to travel and live in Stuttgart, Germany, for the fellowship.
- Candidates from every country are eligible to apply.

- A monthly stipend of £1,200 will be given to the candidates.
- Candidates will be provided with a completely furnished living and working place with all the essential utilities (water, heat, and electricity).
