Midwife Nurse
- Job Description:
- Under the supervision of the MSE Area Programs Manager, the midwife Nurse performs SRH service delivery for the displacement affected women and girls; assists the emergency SRH officer to perform surgical FP and SA/PAC procedures , follow and ensure the women and girls doing well after procedures, perform all the necessary other supports before, during and after service delivery, process service delivery instruments, tools and instruments for the delivery room are readily available; performs the duties in accordance with accepted standard medical practice and professional code of conduct
DUTIES/TASKS
- Takes part in the provision of services for pregnant mothers at IDP communities
- Provides and consult childcare services
- Provides postnatal follow up and timely consultation when problems arise.
- Provides counselling to labouring and postpartum women, girls, and youth
- Assists emergency SRH officer as to take all standard measures required for procedures.
- Prepares all surgical instruments, sets and medical supplies required in accordance with accepted standards.
- Puts the interest of clients / patients above all other considerations and ensures the confidentiality of all cases.
- Ensures the maintenance of high-level standards and applies universal precautions to infection prevention.
- Avails herself / himself to regular stock taking and audit as and when required.
- Prepares and submits periodic reports as required.
- Make an on-time report for the clinical incident happened in the service provision as per the guideline of MSIE.
- Performs other related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications Requirements
Education
BSc/Diploma in Midwifery
Experience
Four years with Diploma in Midwifery. Two years of experience need for BSc
Skills, Attitudes, Attributes
- Good Communication and Interpersonal skills
- Capacity to be compassionate and caring
- Conscious of Government, MSI and MSIE regulations
- Ability to make logical and timely decisions
- Counselling and competency in the provision of FP and SA skill
- Conscious of Government, MSI and MSIE regulations
- Counselling skill and ability to provide FP and SA services
- Well conversant with Tigrigna language
- Good knowledge of the area and the culture
- Ability to work under insecure and stressful situation
- Pro-choice
